Nature Based Solution
URECA strongly supports the 2019 Nature-based Solutions for Climate Manifesto and agrees that NbS can provide a third of the cost-effective climate mitigation solutions. Our ambition is to contribute to the creation of a blueprint for NbS carbon projects in Mongolia.

Nature-based solutions
Nature-based solutions (NbS) are climate actions that focus on the Earth’s natural power to capture carbon at scale. Ranging from forest restoration to regenerative agriculture, NbS also provide numerous co-benefits on biodiversity, soil, water, air, and us. At the same time, NbS is extremely underfunded around the world, with the 2022 State of Finance for Nature Report suggesting that funding from the private sector should be increased by “orders of magnitudes”.

URECA strives to become an important channel to increase the volume and accessibility of funding for high quality NbS initiatives around the world. In this light, the goals of increasing carbon finance to NbS through communities using the latest technology aligns perfectly with our core values and commitments as well as our skills and service offerings as a business. In engaging with local communities, we take Free, Prior, Informed Consent (FPIC) principles earnestly.
